I never hated my accent, but I do dislike the uneducated and racist stigma people try to attach to it. So go Applejack for being a positive example!

Also, I kind of get why you dislike her regarding her color. I unconsciously tried to avert myself from Pinkie Pie because I can't really stand pink. (That didn't work for Fluttershy, though, she's too adorable!) Maybe it's because the ponies are all different, bright colors, and when we see those bright colors we might first judge by which color combo aesthetically pleases us the most.
