Oh my God. I was so in love with her when I was a kid. And I'm a girl. But I was seriously, seriously in love with her back in the day. *sigh* I really was a weird kid. I never even felt that way for Scar, who I also adore.

In my country Renamon was dubbed by a dude and I was stunned they would design a male character so curvy and elegant. I had a weird crush on "him". When I found out he was a she (even though Digimon have no genders, bla bla) I was kinda disappointed. Not because Renamon had a female voice, but because it changed the entire character for me.

So this male voiced char didn't turn into a woman-like figure because he merged with his female tamer. He had always been a chick. And her mother didn't think he was very feminine, she thought SHE was feminine because she had a female voice.

Made me wonder if all the Digimon needed to have according genders to merge with their partners. Yeah, I was overthinking this way too much.
But I actually prefer my country's dub over the original Japanese one now because I can pretend Renamon is a guy in a girl's body.
