I THOUGHT THIS TOO.
But I've been shipping Henry's Two Moms since the first episode, so I'm probably seeing subtext everywhere because it's the only way I can enjoy the show. I should make a gif of that scene to go bug the sad, tumblr, Hunter/Emma fans with my total canon sexual tension. That way the fandom might actually be less boring.
tbh, because it's an ABC show using Disney references, and "US family friendly," I'm getting too many bad vibes that they're heading down that route of getting Emma to settle down and reconnect with the kid she's been quite illegally contacting.
