I feel you bro. What's the purpose of a Paladin without its armor? I don't understand this thing of always trying to expose the body of the female character.
As a Paladin myself, I was extremely annoyed with the renewal character designs

because fanservice :| I remember that when someone actually asked the developers about it, they pinned the blame on their japanese players who wanted the outfits to be revealing. ugh. it pisses me off so much! i love playing as a female character but i'm just sick of all my characters looking like they're losing a game of strip poker :/

Aside from fanservice, there's no real, practical reason.

Though tbh, what's the point of fanservice when you have tiny-ass graphics like that anyway.

Yeah, seriously. I had to sit forward and squint at my monitor to even tell what was going on. Not that that makes it okay. It makes it almost even more illogical, because not only are they tiny with crappy graphics, but they look like little kids! Ugh.

...that's going too far, I think. I can see it in the monsters, but there's nothing childlike about the characters past the novice class.

Another anon who also thinks that all those characters look like they're supposed to be little kids. It's the eyes; eyes that huge in proportion to the rest of the face just reads as tween-or-younger to me.
