Oh no, poor Bella! She had to go back to living life like a normal person, that poor, poor special snowflake. But she's a badly written character. The fact that her only aspirations in life after meeting Edward is to be with him and become immortal isn't healthy, before then, she was going to go to college, not because she wanted to, but because she felt like she had no choice. She doesn't want to be productive, she wants to be a selfish little girl where the only thing that matters is that she gets what she wants, and if that doesn't happen, she'll just shut down and go through the motions because fuck life, if she can't have her man and her immortality, might as well forget her own happiness and just please others while feeling empty inside. Bella wants to feel special and she can't be special if she lives a normal life, for some strange reason.

And in response to your last sentence: the problem is, Bella feels she is literally nothing without Edward. Ginny and Harry both continued the fight against Voldemort and the Death Eaters, they knew they could stand on their own without each other. But not the special snowflake Bella.
