How the hell does he work with...well, roughly half the people on Food Network then?

He is supposed to appeal to a younger and especially a more masculine target audience that the Food Network wants to cater to, rather than "middle-age middle-class housewives" as much of the television cooking world focused its attention toward until recently. 'Cause, you know, a thing needs to be able to appeal to men to have value. >:/
