After watching the first Swedish film, I actually vastly prefer the American version! The casting and acting for Blomkvist and Salander were far and away truer to their book characterizations in the new movie.

Don't expect a perfect adaptation of the book, but I personally thought it was pretty truthful and surprisingly un-Hollywoodized.
