The logical thing for her to do would have been to not post, especially if the best she can do is tell them to read, buy, the next issue.* Or, better yet, she could have not done a fake out character death involving a character of a minority group who doesn't have the habit of coming back to life, or just surviving in general, in comics.


* Sometimes fans need a space, a community space, to just vent when something upsets them. Most creators understand this and don't take it personally, especially if, as Gail kept up again and again in that post, the next issue is really good enough to make things right.

I don't understand why more people don't comment on this. She used a gay suicide as a cheap plot device and then flounced when people got upset by that? Screw her.

That would have been a fine thing for her to do, yes. But it's still proving the OP's point that you're assuming that it's a good thing that S_D is a place where you need to agree that Gail was in the wrong every time and the reaction to her was reasonable and it's a good thing that she left. You don't have to agree with the OP that the comm was better in a day when Gail wouldn't have been tried and punished so severely and completely, but that's the change they're talking about. The OP liked the version that wasn't this specific venting space.
