Ah, thanks for the explanation. I don't watch Grimm and I had never heard of "the blutbaden" in that context. So as a native German speaker I was thoroughly confused and grossed out by this secret.

And yeah, I think the other comments were meant for another secret...

Yeah, the show writers didn't exactly do great research when they made up that name. The fandom kinda laughs at it and then pretends that in the Grimm world it actually makes sense.
