I adore them, they were one of my very first BIG OTPs, and I think my first male slash pairing.... Oh man. Me as a little kid watching with my dad? I insisted that they were clearly in love, it was just a fact. My dad was just happy to be rasing a daughter obsessed with Star Trek.

Yay, I love Garak/Bashir!! One of my favourite ships ever, hands down.

I just trawl AO3 for fic; the DS9 section is, like, all Bashir/Garak. My favorite is "When the Farsei Blooms," by prairiecrow.

And, anon, the G/B relationship's unspoken canon-ness makes for great fic.
