I just read it as you aren't going to try and change or influence your daughter away from being a lesbian (like many parents attempt to do) and you are happy that she's decided to be true to herself rather than choosing to pretend to be straight like some people feel pressured into. I'm always glad to hear stories of parents who support their children when they come out and I'm happy that I was lucky enough to have parents who reacted similarly :)
