As a Nintendo fanboy, I approve of this secret.

In regard to people griping about shovelware, just think back to some of the older systems we cherish so much, particularly the NES. The truth is that 80% (or more!) of NES games were utter garbage. Hell, the DS and PS2 had tons of lazy ports and terrible shovelware as well, but their legacies aren't tainted by that.

Generally speaking, I think it's just en vogue to bash Nintendo consoles for being kiddy and the like, and the shovelware argument is a convenient excuse. Ultimately, I think the Wii will be remembered much like the N64: innovative yet flawed with incredible first party games and some overlooked third party gems.

Yeah, PS1/PS2 had a CRAZY amount of shovelware. And as much as I am discontented with Sony I don't mention it because I've played the systems and shovelware is...not exactly difficult to avoid. I think the Wii's shovelware is only brought up because opposite end fanboys can't come up with much else, since I honestly believe they've never given the system much of a chance and shovelware is easily seen on the surface.

But that's just me. :U
