I like to think that N asks Zoroark, when it's quiet and he's alone, to make an illusion of Ghetsis so he can have a nice father, if just for a while.

Also, for a horrible moment I thought this was going to be a shipping secret. No other pairing makes me quite as squicked as this one, I must say. So I was pretty relieved.

I've never seen a cuddly Ghetsis fanart but I think that's the only way it would work for me too.

He's a scarily bad parent considering the (theoretical) target audience.

I don't think that N would do that to Zoroark. Trying to comfort a friend, but knowing that you can't really take away his pain and that the one he really wants is the one who hurts him, is really painful. Outright asking them to pretend to be that person would be really cruel, IMO.

Ghetsis was a real asshole. As far as I'm concerned he doesn't deserve to ever see his son again and I hope for N's sake he never contacts him after the end of the game.

I always figured he'd pretend to be a halfway decent father despite loathing N with every fiber of his being, in order to make N dependent.
