*Pulls up chair*

Can you say why? I personally never cared for this pairing myself, but I always like to hear other people's reasons.

My own reasons for disliking this pairing are simple; most male superheroes always have their 'normal' love interest (barring said love interest suddenly gaining powers for a issue). I was ticked when I discovered her normal old boyfriend was killed off (...multiple times, from the sound of it) as I liked that a women could be stronger than a man in a relationship. Putting her with Superman makes her the weaker one, which I hate the idea of in this case.

Mind, I barely read the comics. So it could be her old Boyfriend was a dick in many issues I have not read. I just like the idea. *shrug*

So /agree OP.

(Plus, they look WAY too much alike. Urgh.)

Not OP, but

For one, I hate what comics will do to Lois to facilitate WW/SM. Randomly murder her, have her nonsensically and OOCily walk out on Supes, stuff like that. Also, sometimes it feels like Wonder Woman should be with Superman because he ~deserves~ a Strong Woman Warrior or whatever. Plus there's something weird, in my opinion, about portraying a someone like Diana, a strong (physically strong included) woman as needing to have a man who's physically stronger than her.

But... Maybe I'm reading the wrong comics, IDK.

/has a lot of feelings about this

Ugh, so they screw over Lois too? No wonder the OP hates it. I love Lois (though admittedly when I picked up Superman Issue #1 of the reboot I couldn't stand her appearance. Solely because a media mogel woman does not wear mini-skirts with purple lipstick and hair everywhere. Especially the purple lipstick. God, does the artist ever actually look at the women in the news? It *bothered* me.). Grar, why do they always have to make one bad to move in another anyway?

And /agree. The way I see it is that Wonder Woman doesn't need a man, hands down. But that doesn't mean she doesn't fall in love, just that it isn't a priority. And I dislike it when it is shown differently.

And YES. The whole 'the man NEEDS to be bigger and stronger!' thing has always ticked me off. Why can't a woman be the stronger one? (Mostly I prefer equal strength in different or similar ways, but I don't mind other dynamics when done well and not sexist.)

And /agrees. Honestly, one of the reasons I have been kinda-avoiding comics is because there are so many writers that the chance of someone screwing up someone I love deeply and have it be canon is terrifying to me. I get way too invested in characters, I do not need more chances at rage-buttons being pushed.

Yep. Which sucks, I love Lois. :(
