Another way is to find one of those kink/fetish checklists that are pretty comprehensive (and the type that lets you mark off whether you've tried it, willing to try, desiring it, or would never do) and have you both fill one out. I've done that with a partner before, and as we went through it, discussed how we both felt about each one.
It could be that she's accepting of it but it may take a while before she's willing to try it, as I'm sure it's a mentally exhaustive fantasy for the people involved. *hugs* Though I wish you luck, op about at least being able to talk about it with her!
