And I agree about Lestrade. He's got a million fans in Tumblr alone rejoicing in the fact that he's going to appear in the second episode of series two. XDD
I think the problem with the other people is that they have emotions. Not that I'm saying Sherlock doesn't, but he tries not to let them compromise his mental faculties. Mycroft and Moriarty aren't exactly what you'd call 'warm, snuggly creatures' either, and John has his daft moments.
I'm not saying that emotional people are stupid. Just that being emotionally detached isn't the most important item in their agenda. We need them because they're the ones we can sympathise with. And Molly, as far as I know, is quite good with her job. She's just not brilliant with socialising and stuff.
