I'm definitely not saying that women can't have unpleasant or even traumatizing birthing experiences but...birth rape?

Yeah, "rape" seems like a strage choice of words to me as well. I mean, on the one hand I get that it reflect the loss of control those women might be experiencing, but on the other hand? Rape kind of implies sexual assault of some sort, doesn't it? And that's not really what it is(, even when sexual organs are neccesarily involved).

So, I would say, the term is at least confusing. But then again tonight is the first time I've heard it, so I am surely no expert.
