Wow, lucky you! I went to Tokyo for a week, and it was on my list of 'have to see' because of Escaflowne, but I just found it really charming on its own. I spent the whole day there, even though it rained, and started with walking around the station and a lot of the shops, trying the food... then made my way over to the Sasuke Inari shrine. It's so pretty! *_* The shrinekeeper was very kind, too, asking where I was from and where I was going. I wanted to follow the paths behind it, and he told me to be careful. It was very worth it though, because I found so many winding paths through the neighborhoods and ended up walking all the way up to Kita-Kamakura by the end of the day. It's one of my favorite memories because it just felt so lived in and ancient.
