If you're new to the fandom it will take a while for you to get noticed. I know you admire those authors but have you commented on their fics non-anonymously? My experience is that people are more inclined to check out the work of people they know and have talked to than random strangers.

OP here. Two years in this fandom, give or take, and yes, I've left comments/email feedback and I post at the main comms. I'm even on two of said authors' f-lists.

I have had lovely f/back from other people and am grateful, but to see even one of three or four particular names in that comment box - wow.
