Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, written by CLAMP, the folks who brought us Cardcaptor Sakura and Chobits. It's this huge crossover crazy mindscrew magical thing and quite an entertaining read if you can wrap your brain around it. Has a companion manga XxXhoLiC, which is also kinda necessary to understand the story.

The tattoo is one belonging to one of the main characters, Fai (or Fay or Fye or however the translator spells it). And it's pretty cool looking. And magic.

I couldn't afford this as my first tattoo, so I got something smallar and less fandom-related, but good for you OP! As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters, right? Plus (IMO) it's the kind of tattoo that, even if you "fall out" of fandom/TRC looks good enough on it's own that you (hopefully) won't be looking at it down the road, wondering why you liked the fandom*.

*Not saying that all fandom tattoos are like this, or that people will always "fall out" of a fandom,a nd hate their tats, just that it is a possibility. :)
