Anything by Hiyori Otsu is a good read, her stories are very down-to-earth. I cannot recommend her enough. Amano Shuninta drew a non-Highschool two-shot 'Sweet Guilty Love Bites'; the second story is one of my favourites. I think the rest of her stuff is mostly non-Highschool, too. Warning for some actual yuri in her works, if you want to avoid that, but it's mild.

Dynasty-Scans is a good place to do your reading, they seem to have most shoujo-ai series catalogued on their reader and upload new stuff about every week.
