It's fine not to ship Betty/Kate, but you at least have to admit Betty is a huge 'mo. Although, this was written before episode 2, right? I'm curious to see if your opinion's changed on the pairing now.

Sometimes couples don't click, even if there's lots of subtext or they fit the exact bill you have for your ideal couple.

Shipping is about pairing whoever you like, not(necessarily)what the show tells you to ship, and definitely not what the fandom tells you to ship.

So? I was under the impression that people shipped characters, whether het, slash, or femslash, because of observed chemistry or subtext or workability (or ~teh hot~, but that's another issue). So if you don't ship them, it's your opinion on the pairing. Just because you've always had slash goggles, doesn't mean you're somehow obliged to ship every popular slash pairing in existence.
