1. It's never too late! If you want to be a "pied piper", try taking up the tin whistle. It's actually part of the instrumentation of Corigliano's "Pied Piper Fantasy". ohgodswhatageekami

7. Part of writing fic is individual. If there's something you feel needs to be written, writing it may well be therapeutic. Even if you never let it off your hard drive, see where it goes.

8. Sadly enough, I know how you feel. Of course, seconding [livejournal.com profile] jetamors: fandom will eventually let you down. That's what the real friends you make while bumming around there are for, the ones who'll stick by you after you decide to get the hell out. *blows kisses to lots of people*

9. Because underneath all those tentacles, he's fucking Bill Nighy! :-)

10. Hence the assumed name. Nothing wrong with that -- just remember, though, your friends may not be the arbiters of good taste, and it's ultimately your call what you find cool and what you don't.

20. Check out the original story, the myth upon which Shakespeare undoubtedly drew when he was writing. It involves two Greek women (Procne and Philomele) and Procne's husband, Tereus. Not non-con fanfiction, but it'll give you a better understanding of the play overall, and... Christ, what'm I doing? This is fandomsecrets, not academic_anon. ;-)

p.s. to whoever made the Mythbusters secret: I LOVE HATE YOU. And now I must go and purchase a few "ballistics gel recipe" thongs. (Gift idea! Yay!)
