I will never understand fandom's need to hate on this girl. Sure, she's done some questionable things, but the show is about people being pushed to desperately do fuck-up things to protect the people they love. It's not about thrilling heroics or rising above the darkness or anything like that. TVD is a show about falling from grace and Elena is going that magnificently.
