I always liked Crystal better too. I don't know if there's a difference in personality in the anime or the manga- I'm not up to date with those two.

So speaking just from a design point of view? Crystal seems like a very cool, sporty girl, while the other (Kotone?) seems more like a 'girly girl'. The cool, sporty girl wins by a long shot.
