Ooh boy, I can relate. All of my childhood trips to the beach were to the town where that movie was filmed, and I was so freaked out after seeing the movie.

I know how you feel. I first watched the Matrix back when some of my mental health issues were pretty bad and that made me really paranoid, on and off, for several years afterwards.

I think I had the thought of my life being some kind of hoax or experiment by someone and other people are just actors on my own, so somehow the existence of this movie made me feel better. XD

I had those sorts of thoughts as well. (For instance, I remember that I was very good in school but imagined that actually everyone around me was infinitely clever than me and humouring me/laughing behind my back.) My best friend mentioned having those sort of ideas at one point as well.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if most people felt like that at some point, even for a short period.
