The funny thing about Batman is that one can argue that he errs too much in the opposite direction. When you're dealing with homicidal psychopaths who cannot be contained by prisons or psychiatric facilities and will kill again, the ethics get a whole lot more complicated. It is arguable that the moral choice in that scenario would be to kill the Joker.

Definitely agree. However, I personally identify with Batman because I believe I would make the same moral choice (although I would be fine and not interfere should someone else want to do the deed. Because the time and energy spent trying to save a villain, I could spend that time and energy saving people from being mugged in the street).

I think it is a choice that someone shouldn't take lightly, and I would side-eye any vigilante who killed even if I otherwise trusted them. You know, if this was real.

Of course, if I DID have superpowers, I would like Trickster-esque ones that enable me to 'teach a lesson' to the offending party, or at the very least scar them for life. So I doubt that I am exactly morally pure on this matter either. :lol:
