Doesn't Lewis hate Lestat though? (...Only read the first book, and it was a couple years ago, so forgive me for hazy details).

in the later books he was basically lestat's hen-pecked husband.

though i can't say i agree with the op...would louis care that much if he was no longer lestat's #1 person? he spends most of the later books living on his own and when lestat needed his help in tale of the body thief, louis told him to fuck off.

I think you may have misread something, OP. Because if you're terrified that your 'Lestat' will leave you, you aren't really Louis.

Yeah, Louis was kind of praying Lestat would leave him! Didn't he spend some part of the first book running away from him? (It's been a few years since I read those books, so forgive me if I'm remembering incorrectly.)

I don't know anything about Lewis or Lestat but...

I have a relationship with a friend like the one you described and I was really worried about losing him after high school. He'd moved away, gone on to better things, found someone he liked better. But he still comes back to visit me every chance he gets. So I wouldn't be too concerned. If your friend is as awesome as you say, you're going to be fine.

Two of the comments of this thread make me wonder if those people even read the books, because his name is spelled Louis and pronounced Louie, since his name is French.

But Louis pretty much hates Lestat. Not only that, but Lestat does a bunch of stupid shit and was even stupid enough to piss off Marius of all people because he doesn't think things through.
