Not to mention the show is based on a fandom that's 100 years+ old. Trying to stop Holmes fandom at this point is like thinking you can stop a speeding train with a bicycle.

And anyway, didn't Arthur Conan Doyle love peoples' different interpretations of his characters and their stories? He'd probably love fandom himself, if he were alive today.
