It depends. Actual human character body pillows would make me uncomfortable.

BUT

Man, if I had the $50+ to get one, I'd get that HUGE Stitch plush I saw in Disney World in a heart beat so I could snuggle him when I sleep!!! :D

But body pillows are super comfortable! You don't have to get one with a character on it. You could probably get a normal one and then make your own character pillow case. That's even better because you could interchange them depending on your mood.

Heat transfer printer paper + cotton fabric? Might work. Print out whatever character, iron it on, run that sucker through a sewing machine (or ask someone too, I'm a shit seamstress) and PROFIT :D

That's...partially why I own one, tbh. One with a slightly-questionable cover, I will admit, but it's just nice to know I have Len or Kaito to hug when I feel depressed. 'w'

Of course you're not a bad person for that! IDK, some people in real life might think it's weird if you told them, but I imagine most people at F!S wouldn't think it's bad. Except for trolls, maybe. :/

There are non-sexual body pillow cases, especially if you're willing to venture into the doujin market. Well, not nearly as much for female characters, but certainly for many male characters.

Ah, for real? I guess I haven't looked enough. I've only seen them at conventions and at this one hobby shop in Japantown, and out of all the ones I've seen I've only seen like one that didn't look sexual...

Try just searching the internet. It varies a lot from fandom to fandom so I can't say if you'll find anything or not, but for example I recall seeing a Code Geass body pillow cover that has Lelouch on one side and Suzaku on the other, both fully dressed in snazzy suits. Not sexual, but probably fun to cuddle. The official Tiger and Bunny body pillows feature them fully clothed with an arm out to just cuddle in bed. I recall seeing a pretty non-sexual Kamina body pillow at cons, but I just looked up the official one and he does have his pants undone.

It's one of the reasons I wear football kits as pyjamas. Along with the fact that they're super comfy =)
