I'm not ashamed to admit I love Superwholock. It's just good old fashioned fun. Also OP, I get that you may dislike, everyone has their own opinions of course, but It's pretty easy to avoid with the scroll bar/ tagging system/ unfollowing button.

The Tumblr crossover memes bother me when one of my fandoms is combined with something I don't watch or pay attention to. Wholock is fine with me, but throwing Supernatural into it makes me not care.

I love Sherlock and DW and at one point did enjoy Supernatural, but I don't really get this either. Wholock I totally understand. Superwho...why not? Not because I think they go very well together but because DW as a concept is made to fit in everywhere, so sure. But Sherlock/Supernatural? No. The tones and themes are just so very different.

I suppose if you throw in some Merlin/Torchwood/Harry Potter/whatever and then some DW as well, that might make it fun, but I have yet to see anyone really pull off a crossover like that.

TBH I find the mash-up name really stupid, and let's face it, Supernatural is so terrible compared to the first two shows. But it's fun sometimes? And it's never going to actually happen, so whatevs.

Also, to all the people saying "just use tumblr saviour" -- do you have an idea how imprecise people's tags are? They'd rather write paragraphs there than mark what it's actually in the post.

Superwho bewilders me a lot. I don't think the two genres meld. If anything they seem contradictory. Adding more fandoms onto that just bewilders me more. And it's all... male characters and only male characters, which makes it kind of unappealing to me (as in I never see these crossovers bring in the women of the casts).

Hell I've seen Superwholockpotterlin (last one is Merlin). IT KEEPS GROWING.

why is it so hard for people to ignore things they don't like? none offense meant, OP, just a question. i don't necessarily enjoy superwholock or any crossover either, really, but i know that it's for fun. if it's not harming anybody then why not?

altho i do respect you for ranting about it here, because this is what this comm is for i guess ;)
