Actually tbh I always felt like magic was just a tacked-on element that Celestia made so Twilight wouldn't feel bad (because she can see the future, obviously) and yes I care very deeply about the elements of harmony plotline okay

Honestly DID NOT KNOW that anyone did! XD My friends don't seem to pay it much attention...

And... Yeah, it really is just out of place. I mean, okay, HONESTLY, I figure it's supposed to be almost Captain Planet-y: Twilight is the hero and the mane character. She's the one with demi-super powers. But it takes her friends, her metaphorical planeteers, to give her the power to act. 'Cause they said outright that it was only by bringing together these 5 elements that the 6th will reveal itself, so in a sense, they are the source of her magic.

... But that all falls apart when she was capable of magic before them and is still when they're not around... But... Then, Pinkie laughs even by herself, Dash is loyal even without the mane cast... It kinda makes sense... But....... Oh, fuck it.
