ADD/ADHD?

I had the same experience with it. I still don't think of it as a disability outside of school--I'm fantastic at a lot of things, in no small part due to my ADD--but in school, I need, desperately, medication, quiet, and for things to be fucking written down. (Fuck every last one of those presentation rules about not putting everything you're saying on the power points. I can't pay attention to anyone's voice for an entire class).

Er, yes. Got off-topic. But good for you, even if it isn't ADD. Figuring out that the way the world worked was totally not working for me was huge, and it changed my life. I hope it does the same for you. In a positive sense.
