WAH I LOVE THIS SHOW... I guess I don't watch it for the same reasons you do, but hey. I think it succeeds at being ridiculously entertaining. Some of the kids have a lot of personality and are just fun to watch, and I also enjoy analyzing the abusive parents, and I kind of end up judging the pageants too... I dunno, there's just a lot to be entertained by.

That's kind of how reality shows operate. They show you people who are so fucked up, it makes you feel normal and good about yourself.

Puts psychologist hat on: A good reason you like this show might be because you see moms dress up their kids into something they are not. It could be comforting to you to know you're not the only person who as a child was dressed and treated like something they really didn't feel like.

Even bad shows are able to bring good things, I feel bad for the children but if it makes you feel better about yourself that is great :)
