I'm curious. How do people write RDJ!Holmes? I've heard so much about Cumberbatch's Sherlock and his asexuality, but never the RDJ one.

I've seen him written all sorts of ways, but seldom as asexual as BBCSherlock. There are a lot of fics linked over at holmeswatson09 though if you're really curious. You might just have to dig back a ways.

Thank you! I'll probably be reading fics all day long now. XD

I haven't seen the second movie yet (meh), so I wouldn't really know, but I guess it has to do with the fact that the characters from BBC Sherlock have addressed Sherlock's sexuality in a way that the movie didn't (can't say I blame them, seeing as how the Victorian era's very different from present times), so fans can make a big deal of Sherlock's asexuality in a way that they don't with RDJ's Holmes.

I enjoyed the second movie. Went to the theater, turned off my brain, and had a wonderful time. Well...er...five times. (The last two were chances to go with friends who wanted to see SHAGOS more than Hugo.) And I loved Mary in it.

But yes, there's a lot of 09 fic, and the first kinkmeme popped up after it came out and long before BBCSherlock hit, so that has many many stories on it which might interest you.

Funny, I don't remember ever thinking that RDJ's version was scared of sex at all. Benny's version, maybe, with the whole "sex doesn't alarm me"/"how would you know?" thing, but...huh. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention during the Ritchie movies.
