(Anonymous) 2012-01-20 01:49 am (UTC)(link)But being abroad isn't just about seeing things, it's about meeting people, too, and I definitely met more people on my drunken escapades than I ever did at a museum. And some of those people are still my best friends now, five years later.
So yeah, differnent people also get different things out of experiences, is what I'm saying. Maybe you see it as 'doing the same as they were doing back home', but back home when I went drinking it was always with the same old people in the same old bars ;)
