I just sat here and thought over Clint/Natasha/Pepper for a few minutes. I think it could work. Pepper stays on as CEO of SI and consults with SHIELD, and so, gets them as 'bodyguards' once in a while. Adventures happen.

Tony, meanwhile, has forced out the head of SHIELD R&D and is revolutionizing the whole division (like a boss), and bringing in his friends to be section heads. Some of them are aliens. And you know, adventures.

He and Pepper have moved on to being biffles, and she calls him from time to time complaining about how weird her life has become. "You love it."

Someone should write this for me.
