some people get really offended if I tell them I don't drink.

Yep, this.

I don't drink because I hate the taste of it and even one beer or any other "light" alcohol will give me stomach aches and sometimes headaches.

Yet some people do insist on trying to make me drink, as if they were personally offended if I don't.
I swear, with some, it's like their personal comfort of knowing that I *did* gobble some alcohol is somehow more important than me having to consume something I don't like and that makes me sick.

Well if that's their idea of fun and friendship, I don't especially want to have fun with them. And it irritates me.

I have a friend who doesn't drink and this is why (though celiacs can still have wine I believe)

I've stated that I don't drink before, too, and people DO get really offended by it!! People think I think I'm better than them. I'm just like, "I don't care. You choose to; I can choose not to." I can't believe how some people are just so bothered by my sobriety.
