See I'm thinking they could but it would be the opposite of what your betting. Like a kiss in the trailer to get everyone all excited but then it turns out to have been part of some plan sort of like with the Doctor and Craig ("Are you going to kiss me?" "Yes I am.") in the S6 trailers.
