I just love how people get shocked when they find out that ACTUAL child rapists are people "beyond all suspicion".

As in, "normal"; with friends, spouses, well-groomed, friendly people...

And not obese, untidy, single and rude, as society paints them.

Pretty much this. The people who succeed at molesting a bunch of children have to be the people who society trusts to be around a bunch of children in the first place! This means that you can't be socially awkward, you can't be unkempt, and you can't be rude. Being attractive certainly helps, too. You definitely must be charismatic.

Basically, if you want to be a successful child molester, that creepy mustache has got to go.
