But it pretty logically follows from "maybe my own experiences have spoiled my judgment, but a form of entertainment being better than the ENTIRE REST OF YOUR LIFE seems downright pitiful." It's kind of shocking that OP came in here and said what they said considering they wrote the secret to sound like they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, 'cause otherwise it seems fucking obvious that a form of entertainment can easily be better than a shitty life or a life scarred by depression.
"I don't think I could go on living if my life got that bad" is an incredibly dismissive thing to say too and really drives home the silver spoon character they built of themselves.
Like, really, you can't see where most people in this thread are getting the idea that OP is completely missing the viewpoint of a person with depression? That it's actually really horrifying that they have depression and have been suicidal and still say this shit?
Ultimately the OP still made a really fucking shitty secret and keeps saying awful, judgmental things. They are still saying that people worse off than them (who have no family) are sad and pathetic. So frankly I just can't get that upset that I jumped to conclusions. They need to stop saying that shit because it's harmful.
