As a majority porn writer, it's sad how true that is. :/ I mean, I love writing porn, but every now and then I write a non-porn either cute/fluffy or just meaningful fic. Yep. No comments. Or in the case of one dub-con/emotional blackmail fic, comments that missed the point so hard, I didn't even know how to reply.

I understand some people prefer porn to ~meaningful~, and sometimes just don't know what to comment on something touching, but it's still rather disappointing.
