I think it's because Dora's issues tend to be more visible and more dramatic; Marten's by comparison could and probably are seen as part of his personality by his friends. What's more, unfortunately, if you're apologetic for something or insist to people that something's your fault, they tend to accept it, often friends and family included. And while Dora has been owning up to her issues, Marten's efforts have distancing himself from the relationship as much as possible.

With Faye though, I can buy that she'd believe it was more Dora's issues than Marten's. She's not only been privy to some of their fights but actually been part of a couple of them, including one where Dora's suggested she's going to fire her. Whatever shit she knows Marten's capable of pulling, that's bound to come to mind when she hears they're having a bad fight.

I also think Faye is more defensive/protective over Marten due to all their history together. Plus Dora's issues are more out in the open while Marten's aren't.

I just want some acknowledgement from Jeph that Marten has some major fucking issues too.
Really sick of his whiny bullshit being portrayed as completely justified and not a problem, or at least, not a large scale problem.
