OP here. It isn't just being a necro-cyborg, although that's part of it. The notion of a heavily structured society, with everything and everyone in its place, appeals to me.

That makes sense to me too actually. I like fantasy versions of Lawful Evil societies too. (Not real ones, of course. Real ones are just horrible.) I think it's the idea of everything having a purpose plus dangerous badassness together. It's probably part of why I love certain characters and societies in my fandoms too. (And why I choose the fandoms I do.)

In short, I think I like you, OP, and we can go be unhealthy Phyrexians together. ;-)
