Oh, anon! No, you don't "deserve what you get." Depression and its repercussions are not your fault. I hope you'll eventually be able to find a way to be comfortable and happy with yourself, because that is what you deserve.

As far as being afraid of having sex, I speak from experience when I say that you don't have to look perfect to have someone else find you attractive. Try to appreciate the parts of your appearance that you find it easier to feel good about (maybe you have nice hair, or pretty eyes?) and build on that.

You deserve to feel good about yourself, and that's possible without a Magic Movie Makeover. I hope you find your way there someday. *hugs if wanted*
