That's what I felt with the lines too - that she is trying to get past Brittney because she isn't in love with Santana in return, but it's so hard to let go of love... To me it feels raw and emotional and the kind of moment that keeps me coming back to Glee even after all the other disappointments.

Well, I'm not sure that Brittany isn't in love with Santana - to me it seems that might be true, or maybe Brittany's just characterized as vapid and out of touch. Either is possible, IMO, lol. But there does seem to be a lot of passion behind that line, and Santana does look at Brittany when she sings it...I think I took it more as, Santana imagining what it would be like to lose Brittany. *shrugs* Either way, I liked it!

I could go either way in how Brittany feels about Santana, but I think that's how she'd come across to Santana up to then, so she's feels rejected. But I still stand by saying that I love the raw emotion in Naya's voice and that it's very true to the character.

Agreed on the emotion when Naya sings that line - and also that this is what keeps me coming back to the show: in the midst of all the madness, there are some truly great emotional moments :)
