THANK YOU.

3. I don't mind that kind of fanart at all... sometimes I think I'm the only one. The artist might have drawn them differently but they're not redoing the personality, which is really the part that counts in a character.

24. People who are overly obsessive/paranoid about some dumb character stereotype annoy the heck out of me. STFU please. In other words, I agree with you. =D

25. lol.

I agree with you 100%. I loved Animorphs, still do. I still can't get past just how bad the show was. I sit there and nitpick at the details. xD

The books were awesome though. Book sixteen had me laughing for hours because of this quote:

"Caution: Falling objects."

Good lord... those two chapters involving Tobias morphing into a fly was just hysterical.

Seriously.. Animorphs did change my life views for the better.

A leader. A warrior. A comedian. An alien. A hawk. The nice one.

Side note... Animorphs also introduced me into time travel and how much of an impact a simple thing can effect the future.

Thank you for the secret, whoever you are. ♥

Wow... That's not even a character. I love his voice for Ed, honestly, and I love his voice for Dark- and I probably love a lot of the dub voices more than the sub voices - but that's personal preference.

I tend to stay away from Vic Mignogna related anything, and it doesn't help that the Risembool Rangers try to recruit me at every convention I go to. I don't understand the people that are obsessed with him... It freaks me out.

Elitist as this may sound- seconded. I couldn't keep up with the tv series, for several reasons... but God I miss the books.

XD She's a member of the Rangers. She's always talking about them. She's not just devoted. She's a stalker if you ask me.

I wish my mother would stop telling me to get a real hobby and interact with real people. First off, does she think everyone else on the internet is secretly a spambot?

I ask that question of -everyone- that tells me to interact with real people. "I'm a real person, and I'm on the internet. Are you saying that everyone else is fabricated by my computer, solely for my amusement?"

[identity profile] pariah164.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
13. My friends got me the entire Animorphs series, ALL the books, for my college grad gift.

Seriously, all the books. I had to clear out over half a shelf so I could put them away. ♥

[identity profile] pariah164.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Also, number 2, I love Negima, even with the fanservice. :\ Why do you hate a series for fanservice? IDGI. I mean, if you hate fanservice, how can you be an anime/manga fan at all? The genre's full of it. :|

I'm a piano player too, so it also kind of bugs me when characters are super good at an instrument, are very young, and aren't technically supposed to be virtuosos. PLAYING AN INSTRUMENT IS HARDER THAN IT LOOKS. Tamaki's only a few years older than me and I've been playing since I was six, where does he get off being that good. Mfargh.

YES, I KNOW HE'S RICH. SHUSH.

[identity profile] samuraiter.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Particularly if Akamatsu is drawing it. The fan service is one reason -- of many! -- why I prefer the Love Hina manga to the Love Hina anime. There are things that one can do in manga that one absolutely cannot do in animated TV series, and that is one of the big ones.

I don't think it's elitist, I think it's just recognizing that the show was really godawful. Both in terms of adaptation and in overall quality. Getting a keycard just by brushing Ax's fur? What?

(I don't know how I specifically remember that.)

[identity profile] colortheory.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Same. I like Doctor/Master, but it's not OMG WHY I WATCH THE SHOW!!1one

AND YES. DONNA RETURNS. I'm so psyched. ♥

[identity profile] harmonyangel.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
13 - That was beautiful. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I wrote a third of my junior independent research paper last year on Tobias, just because I wanted so desperately to go back to those books and give them the academic credit they deserve. They're the reason I have all of my friends, and they changed my life more than anything else ever has, or probably ever will.

[identity profile] radarsparks.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
13. Me too.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-07 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Not the secret poster, but...

There's fanservice, and then there's gratuitous fanservice. Negima falls into the second category, in my mind. I can't like it, because reading it makes me really uncomfortable. Tasteful nudity I'm perfectly okay with. Akamatsu's drawings are usually anything but. A lot of that stuff borders on child porn, in my mind.

[identity profile] kosher-jenny.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
I LOL'd!

[identity profile] colortheory.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
18. I'll admit that I like the pairing. I think that they do have good chemistry. Plus, you have one Time Lord cradling the dying body of another and crying over it. The slash fangirls come out in droves. I think your reaction's kind of extreme, though. So you don't like a pairing. I can accept that. It's perfectly fine. I personally don't like Ten/Martha that much. But letting it control whether you like or dislike the series as a whole? That I have issues with.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-07 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Annnd 9 here. LULZ for you.

[identity profile] kohda.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
You made my day just now :D

ftw. "Real life" is so overrated. ;P

Re: 1

[identity profile] heron-advocate.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Also, 14? I am severely creeped out. x)

[identity profile] glitterbats.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
13. Same here.

Heh, I remember researching the animals they morphed into in order to figure out where the Animorphs were. I actually did manage it, too.

[identity profile] flamingkitsune.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Same here. She needs to stop being so persuasive. XD
