Also, number 2, I love Negima, even with the fanservice. :\ Why do you hate a series for fanservice? IDGI. I mean, if you hate fanservice, how can you be an anime/manga fan at all? The genre's full of it. :|

Particularly if Akamatsu is drawing it. The fan service is one reason -- of many! -- why I prefer the Love Hina manga to the Love Hina anime. There are things that one can do in manga that one absolutely cannot do in animated TV series, and that is one of the big ones.

Not the secret poster, but...

There's fanservice, and then there's gratuitous fanservice. Negima falls into the second category, in my mind. I can't like it, because reading it makes me really uncomfortable. Tasteful nudity I'm perfectly okay with. Akamatsu's drawings are usually anything but. A lot of that stuff borders on child porn, in my mind.

How is it gratuitous? Negima!'s fanservice isn't even explict. The panty shots are worse than the nudity, if you ask me.

not the op

holy sweeping generalizatins, batman!

because some anime and manga don't rely on fanservice to tell their stories?
