And you're perfectly entitled to that belief. I'm used to it, and I'm done trying to convince people. I just wanted to get it out there somewhere, and honestly expected about a million people to reply like you just did. Don't believe me. You don't have to and I'm not making you.

Although I do wonder why you think anyone would get any sort of satisfaction from posting something like that completely anonymously, and never coming out and saying who they are, even with so much support in reply.

But hey, it's your right not to believe me. I'm happy knowing that there were a lot of people that do.

Your mom's about five million dollars worth of dumb if she hasn't sued. I mean, wouldn't she have the originals?

Plus, character design at an enormous studio like Pixar/Disney doesn't work like that. There's always a million revisions and meetings and director's notes to "see what they'd look like with six legs... nah, don't like it" and studio notes to "make them better for toys" and all that. They're not going to spend months and millions of dollars animating designs lifted unaltered from some random illustrator.

Plus it's just ridiculous.

Plus you write like a troll. "I don't care what you think! Really! Not caring! NOT CARING REALLY LOUD RIGHT HERE GUYS!"

Wow, back for the wank? Why don't you give it a rest? Its a SECRETS community. The entire reason people post here is so they DON'T get assholes like you up in their face. 'Sides, that was about SEVEN posts ago. Grow up.

Huh?

I just joined this comm and I read back a bunch but I didn't read the comments. (And no, 11 isn't my secret. Sorry if I just inadvertedly brought back something that was a big fight. I did think it was kind of ludicrous though.

But I'll shut up about it now.

well, you sure know how to make an entrance.

What part of "ran off with the test copy" do you not get? Did you even read the original secret? Cripes, secret-poster or not you're REALLY aggravating.

And I said it in a comment when I first posted MY secret--I'm. Not. Blaming. Disney. Or Pixar, for that matter. I'm blaming the bitch that stole my mom's work.

Seriously, you can't exactly make stuff like this up. And even if you could--why would I? It's stupid. I'm not getting anything from it, obviously. If I really wanted anything from it, wouldn't I have posted my screenname by now?

I feel for the fact that someone ran off with your mom's creative idea but, what kind of idiot doesn't keep copies of what they do and sends their ONLY copy?

stupid. sorry, but true.

Not the secret-maker of either secrets but saying the mother is an idiot is just plain rude. Also, I don't think you or me know enough about the full details of the incident to judgments like "stupid" like that.

Sorry. I have to call bullshit.

If your mother was any kind of professional artist and had two brain cells to rub together, she would not have given a client the only existing copy of a commissioned work without getting paid up front for it.

Sorry, you're a liar. But hey, at least you got plenty of attention out of it. Congratulations.

...Whoa. For your information, if anyone here sounds like a troll, it's you. From the insult to the OP's mother to the claim that you "just got here," you're a pretty clear-cut troll. Maybe you should think before you write next time?

Good points. The thing that made me not believe the original secret? They described the mantis as a "karate master". In the movie, he wasn't a karate master, he was a conjurer.

(I'm not the poster of #11, and I don't mean to provoke more wank. I just had to say so.)

Don't you find this a wee bit hypocritical?

Re: 11

(Anonymous) 2007-07-07 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't see how the person is hypocritical, really. The secret maker of #11 could have just commented this when it was posted instead of making it a 'secret.'
Also, if the person posted that 'Bugs Life' claim as a SECRET, I doubt that person would want to advertize their identity NOW.
