Go for it OP. If you were in the wrong re: spat. Apologise for your part in it and continue to enjoy your pairing/fandom quietly (and politely!). People will forgive and forget if you show them it's ok. You might have to put up with snide remarks on forums - ignore them! :) Or block if your site has the option. Most people have made fandom mistakes, small and large (I have!), but it's possible to still enjoy it. Don't let yourself dwell on the negatives associations and just go for it with enjoying your game/fandom/pairing

Enjoy your corner of the fandom and show that you've grown and moved on.

Don't be said, OP! If you wanna participate incognito, there's always the kink meme! It could use some more activity right now. Much of the fandom has also moved to tumblr. You could make a tumblr devoted to your favorite pairing, or do an askbog for the characters!

Took me a while to realise it, but then EYEBROWS and SUIT and ohmygodyes it's Phoenix!

But, yeah, and lately (well, on tumblr, at least) I haven't noticed any drama in the fandom. Everything's crazy and fun as usual.
Actually, I've never heard of any ship being hated on?

I'll still say it's the best active fandom ever and you should jump in, OP. :D

I am really curious about what your OTP and favorite characters could have been to have gotten no love in Ace Attorney fandom, of all places.

It makes me a bit sad that you had a rough time in the PW fandom of all places. It always seemed really friendly and laid back to me? But then, I mostly just hang out on the KM, so I guess I don't really know. Anyway, to be honest, if you've got the guts for it I would 100% recommend coming back and not hiding your identity at all. If you run into some of your old pals you can either apologize and/or ask to move on, and then not interact with them too much. I wouldn't recommend trying to come back pretending to be someone else--that sounds like it must be super awkward in the event of anyone figuring you out. And if you don't feel comfortable, just chill out around the KM? I mean, you get to be anon and everything, so there shouldn't be a problem.

What the hell do you ship though? Come on, OP, don't leave us hanging. This has piqued my curiosity immensely because PW seems just short of HP in terms of shipping variety, so I am having a real hard time imagining what your elusive unpopular OTP is.

I thought so too. But I started following Ace Attorney secrets and a lot of those secrets were "I don't ship Phoenix with Edgeworth because ___________."

I admit that I don't ship it either, and I don't follow the comments that go with those secrets but the mods of the blog had to issue a warning about attitudes towards shipping secrets.
